Prof. Marcelina Chijoriga, Head of the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership School in Kibaha and also a graduate of the College of Business Education (CBE), said that CBE alumni should take the lead in supporting the development of the college in various academic and economic areas.
She said this during a special Alumni Breakfast organized by the college management, where she joined fellow alumni and also served as the guest of honor.
“As alumni who graduated from CBE, we have the opportunity to leave a positive mark on our college, not blame.”
She also challenged young graduates finishing from CBE to consider self-employment, noting that the courses offered at the college provide wide opportunities for them to create their own jobs instead of relying only on employment.

The College of Business Education (CBE), on May 4, 2026, held a brief event with its alumni from 1965 to 2025.
Speaking at the event, the CBE Rector, Prof. Edda Tandi, said that alumni across different parts of the country can help support CBE’s efforts to provide quality business and entrepreneurship education.
She added that these alumni are good ambassadors of CBE to the wider community.
“CBE alumni have the ability to contribute significantly in academic, economic, networking, and strategic areas by building a strong alumni system to support one another and assist those still studying, thus becoming key pillars of institutional and community development,” said Prof. Lwoga.
