The College of Business Education (CBE), through its team of experts, has provided training on how to make liquid soap to students in Entrepreneurship clubs, starting at Wailes Secondary School located in Temeke District, Dar es Salaam, yesterday, April 1, 2026. Speaking during the training, the Coordinator of entrepreneurship activities from CBE, Ms. Alana Banda, said that the training aims to empower students to build the ability to engage in entrepreneurship while still in school so that after completing their studies, they can employ themselves instead of relying only on salaried jobs.
Furthermore, Ms. Banda said that the training aims to reach more schools in line with the new secondary school curriculum, which focuses on equipping students with an entrepreneurial mindset and various skills that promote self-employment. The training provided by CBE is part of supporting the government's efforts to ensure that youth gain self-employment skills alongside their education.

During the training, students were also taught how to make liquid soap as part of building their practical entrepreneurship skills. The entrepreneurship activities team from the College of Business Education (CBE) took time to guide the students from the Entrepreneurship Club at Wailes Secondary School step by step on how to prepare and produce liquid soap using simple and accessible methods. In addition to the explanations, the students were given an opportunity to learn by doing.
They participated in practical sessions where they followed the instructions, mixed the required materials, and observed the full process of making liquid soap. This hands-on experience helped them to better understand the lessons and gain confidence in applying the skills on their own. After receiving guidance from the entrepreneurship experts from CBE, the students actively engaged in the activity and showed interest in learning how such skills can be used in real life.
The training not only increased their knowledge but also encouraged them to think about starting small businesses and becoming self-reliant in the future.
