Minister for Industry and Trade Visits CBE After Appointment

The Minister for Industry and Trade, Hon. Judith Kapinga (MP), paid an official visit to the College of Business Education (CBE), Dar es Salaam Campus, on November 25, 2025, shortly after her appointment. Upon arrival, the Minister was warmly received by the CBE Management led by the Rector, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga. During the visit, the Rector briefed the Minister on various academic and administrative areas of the College and provided an overview of CBE’s mandate and operations.

Hon. Kapinga was also informed about the construction of the new Weights and Measures Building (Phase One), where she received detailed explanations on the progress and importance of the project in supporting industrial development and standards. Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga further presented CBE’s strategic plans and their implementation, highlighting how the College continues to support national development through teaching, research, and capacity building.

Additionally, the Chairperson of the College Governing Board, Prof. Zacharia Mganilwa, explained CBE’s commitment to strengthening the industrial sector through market-relevant programmes and professional courses offered by the College. The Minister held discussions with the CBE leadership and commended the College for its contribution to human resource development in industry, trade, and business sectors.
