
The Rector of the College of Business Education (CBE), Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, presented certificates to graduates of the short course for bus attendants offered by the college on August 23, 2025, in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking during the certificate award ceremony, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga said that the graduates are expected to work in various places, including Faima Bus Company, the Tanzania Railway Corporation (TRC), and other long-distance passenger bus companies.
“These 19 graduates are from FAIMA Bus Company, and another 17 are from various bus companies. They have received training at CBE, where our goal is to improve the quality of services offered by attendants in the country’s transport sector,” said Prof. Lwoga.

Furthermore, Prof. Lwoga stated that CBE takes pride in being a pioneer in offering the bus attendants’ course in Tanzania by collaborating with various stakeholders to provide both theoretical and practical training.
“Through our campuses in Dodoma, Mwanza, Mbeya, and Dar es Salaam, we have so far managed to train about 1,820 attendants who are now working in different bus companies across the country,” added Prof. Lwoga.
Prof. Lwoga also mentioned that CBE continues to strengthen partnerships and closely monitor the work performance of service providers who received training at CBE, including attendants from the FAIMA institution.

Additionally, she urged long-distance passenger bus attendants to seize the opportunity for training once again, now available in the Dar es Salaam region at the College of Business Education (CBE).
This nineth phase of training, which had 36 participants, was conducted at the Dar es Salaam Campus from August 18 to August 23, 2025.
