The College of Business Education (CBE) is committed to developing a five-year strategic plan aimed at enhancing the college's core functions in order to improve academic standards for incoming students and strengthen access to higher education in the country.
Speaking during the launch of the working session to discuss and formulate the 2026/2027 – 2030/2031 Strategic Plan on August 1, 2025, the Rector of CBE, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, emphasized that participants in the workshop are expected to produce a strategy that will enhance the implementation of the college’s responsibilities across all departments.
"This strategic plan will focus on improving academic programs, as well as the quality of teaching and student assessment, to help students achieve their goals and elevate the standard of higher education in Tanzania”, said Prof. Lwoga.
She further highlighted that the session should also result in a strategic plan that strengthens technological skills, particularly in digital systems, and aligns with the use of artificial intelligence.
In addition, Prof. Lwoga noted that the expected strategy will include efforts to enhance students’ capabilities, skills, creativity, and entrepreneurial training for those joining CBE.
The one-day working session brought together education stakeholders from CBE, including heads of departments, staff, and students, with the aim of developing a comprehensive five-year implementation plan.
