CBE ORGANIZES STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING TO DEVELOP NEW CURRICULA

The College of Business Education (CBE) has organized a meeting with education stakeholders from the private sector, public sector, as well as mid-level colleges and higher learning institutions, with the aim of discussing curricula for NACTVET accreditation. The goal is to review, improve, and propose curricula that align with the needs of the labor market.

Speaking during the opening of the meeting, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, the Rector of CBE, stated that the meeting aims to present proposals for new and revised curricula that correspond to the real needs of the job market.

“This meeting is meant to discuss the current challenges in the education system and to seek long-term solutions that meet labor market demands,” said Prof. Lwoga.

She further emphasized that the meeting will result in curricula that focus more on practical skills than on theory, aiming to provide students with knowledge that is beneficial upon graduation.

On his part, Mr. Gordian Bwemelo, the Quality Assurance Manager, stated that the stakeholders' meeting is part of a national process to revise curricula in a way that equips youth with essential skills for real work environments.

“In today’s rapidly changing world, young people need not only certificates but also practical, job-relevant skills,” said Mr. Bwemelo.

This meeting brought together stakeholders from the private and public sectors, as well as mid-level colleges and universities, with the objective of discussing curricula for NACTVET accreditation to launch new academic programs.
