Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, the Rector of the College of Business Education (CBE), participated in the Global Engagement Series Event held on June 3, 2025, in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. At the event, she presented a paper titled “Tanzania Industrial Development and Business Opportunities: Resource Advantages and Cooperation Network of CBE.”
The event brought together university scholars from the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Sichuan Vocational College of Finance and Economics, scholars from the Organization of African Academic Doctors, and various business enterprises from Sichuan Province. It served as a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and exploration of new international academic and business opportunities.
On the same day, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, together with Dr. Nasibu Mramba, the Deputy Rector (Academic, Research and Consultancy) of CBE, held a strategic meeting with leaders from the Sichuan Vocational College of Business and Economics (SVCBE). The meeting took place in Chengdu and included key SVCBE figures such as President Mr. Further Gang, Vice President Mr. Li Daijun, Dean of the School of Finance Prof. Ye Jianming, and Lecturer Dr. Deng Li.
Discussions focused on strengthening institutional collaboration in academic development, joint research initiatives, and long-term partnerships. Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to promoting academic excellence and fostering meaningful global cooperation.
