The Rector of the College of Business Education (CBE), Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, has urged students of the institution to generate business ideas, with the college offering incubation training to help them achieve their dreams.
Prof. Edda made these remarks today, May 22, 2025, while opening a training session for students from the Tanzania Association of Small Industries and Small-Scale Producers (TASSIM) held at the college.
“We are committed to creating a proper plan and providing incubation training to enable students to realize their business ideas so that they become prominent entrepreneurs in the country as soon as they complete their studies,” said Prof. Lwoga.
She further emphasized that students graduating from the college should become producers and processors of goods rather than just sellers.
“Every year, many students graduate, so to avoid them waiting for employment, it is better that those with business ideas here at the college are given incubation training to increase the number of entrepreneurs in the country,” said Prof. Lwoga.
Additionally, Prof. Lwoga stated that by March 2025, a total of 751 students had joined the incubation program, and out of these, 339 submitted their business ideas to the college administration for training support.
Adding to the day’s events, the Chief Executive Officer of the Tanzania Association of Small Industries and Small-Scale Producers (TASSIM), Mr. Elia Joseph, shared his insights on practical training with students of the College of Business Education (CBE) during the session held on May 22, 2025. Mr. Joseph emphasized the importance of hands-on education in preparing students for the real-world challenges of entrepreneurship and production. His address complemented the college’s commitment to empowering students through business incubation and practical exposure.
