Students from the College of Business Education (CBE) on May 21, 2025, conducted a study visit at the Small Industries Development Organization (SIDO) in Dar es Salaam with the aim of gaining direct knowledge and experience about the incubation services offered by SIDO. Speaking during the training, Mr. Alfred Kafanabo, Director of Sonak Company and an electronics technology innovator, emphasized the importance for students from CBE to start their own businesses, noting that it provides a conducive environment to develop innovative ideas into actual enterprises.
"This training helps young people and budding entrepreneurs go through various stages of developing business ideas, from the initial innovation phase to achieving commercial success," said Mr. Kafanabo. This hands-on training helps CBE students gain practical understanding of entrepreneurship, innovation, and the role of institutions like SIDO in boosting the economy through small and medium enterprises.
