The College of Business Education (CBE) conducted practical training from September 30 to October 2, 2026, which was organized by the Directorate of Student Services for staff handling Student Health Insurance matters from all CBE campuses.
A total of 10 staff members participated in the training, where the facilitators were three officers from the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) Headquarters in Dodoma, including Mr. Deogratious Thomas Mwakilema, Mr. Salmin Shembazi, and Mr. Godwin Peter Libota, in collaboration with an internal CBE systems expert, Mr. Jeremiah David.
The training aimed to resolve CoSIS and OMRS challenges, particularly the issuance of control numbers, payment reconciliation, and student registration. Participants worked directly on the systems using real challenges from their respective campuses, and several issues were resolved.
The remaining challenges concerning the API integration between CoSIS and OMRS will continue to be worked on by CBE and NHIF systems experts when they meet in Dodoma for three days to finalize them.
This training is an important step towards CBE's goal of ensuring that all students have health insurance for the 2026/2027 academic year.
