DAR ES SALAAM — The College of Business Education (CBE) will for the first time enrol students into seven new programs when the 2026/2027 academic year opens, Rector Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga confirmed on Sunday. The programs, which have received full accreditation from the National Accreditation Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET), are designed to align with Tanzania's National Education Policy of 2014.

Prof. Lwoga made the announcement during a press briefing held at CBE's main campus in Dar es Salaam, telling reporters that the institution developed the programs in direct response to gaps in the labour market, national development priorities, and the rapidly shifting demands of science and technology.

"These programs are our answer to what the market needs and what the country is building toward," Prof. Lwoga said.

"CBE has excellent learning facilities, qualified and experienced lecturers, modern ICT infrastructure, digital libraries, and strong partnerships with the private sector — all of which translate into real practical training and employment for our graduates."

Available Across Four Campuses

To ensure accessibility for students across the country, all seven programs will be offered at CBE's four campuses — in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza, and Mbeya — reducing the need for prospective students to relocate far from their home regions in order to pursue higher education.

Prof. Lwoga used the occasion to reassure prospective students and their families that CBE provides a high-quality academic environment, pointing to the college's qualified and experienced teaching staff, modern ICT infrastructure, digital libraries, and an established network of industry and development partners.

Those partnerships, she added, are central to CBE's value proposition — creating clear pathways from the classroom into the workplace through structured practical training and, ultimately, employment for graduates.
