During the period under review, the Directorate of Students’ Services recently hosted an awareness seminar on Cyberbullying, aimed at educating students on the dangers, legal consequences, and prevention of online harassment. The session was facilitated by Mr. Aboubakar Nurdin, Assistant Lecturer at CBE, and drew the participation of 192 students.
The seminar focused on the Cybercrimes Act, 2015 (Act No. 14 of 2015), which explicitly criminalizes cyberbullying in Tanzania. Students were informed of the serious legal implications of engaging in or being complicit in such behavior.
