During the period under review, the Directorate of Students’ Services organized an induction seminar for newly elected and appointed student organization leaders. The seminar was held on 30th June 2025. A total of 65 CBESO leaders including Cabinet members, CSP Secretariat, Judicial Organ members, members of the election Commisin and Principal Secretaries attended. The seminar was officially opened by Acting Rector Dr. Nasibu Mramba, who congratulated the leaders on their new roles and shared key updates affecting students. He highlighted that 17 academic curricula have been reviewed to align with labor market needs and informed a new double degree program between CBE and SWUFE, allowing selected students to study two years at each institution. He also informed the leaders that examination procedures are now fully automated and stressed the importance of observing deadlines, particularly for exam postponements. Student leaders were reminded of their role as role models and were urged to uphold college rules, especially in the context of the upcoming student elections, with caution advised regarding social media conduct.
Following the opening remarks, Prof. Emmanuel J. Munishi, Deputy Rector – Planning, Finance, and Administration, underscored the significance of the induction as a platform to equip student leaders with essential knowledge and leadership skills. He emphasized that the training plays a vital role in preparing them to lead effectively and contribute positively to the student community.
