During the period under review, the Directorate of Students’ Services at Mwanza Campus organized an Awareness Seminar on the importance of Career Guidance and Counseling, held on 29th May 2025. The seminar attracted 80 student participants and was facilitated by Ms. Silvia Nyondo, a Social Welfare Officer at CBE Mwanza.
The main objective of the seminar was to equip students with essential knowledge to support informed career decisions, identify suitable career paths, and enhance their chances of securing successful field attachments.
Key issues discussed during the seminar included:
- Introduction to career guidance as a continuous process that assists individuals in understanding themselves and the world of work to make informed decisions regarding education, careers, and life choices.
- The significance of career guidance in:
- Aligning individual skills and interests with appropriate career paths
- Supporting informed decision-making in education and career planning
