Induction Seminar for New CBESO Leaders

During the period under review, the Directorate of Students Services at Mwanza Campus organized an induction seminar to new CBESO leaders. The seminar was held on 28^th May 2025. A total of 58 CBESO leaders attended the Seminar.

The seminar was officially opened by the Campus Director, Prof. Robert G. Mashenene. He congratulated the newly elected leaders and emphasized the critical role of student leadership in both the college and national development. Prof. Mashenene urged the leaders to serve with integrity, commitment, and discipline, and to always adhere to leadership ethics, maintain close collaboration with the college management, and follow institutional rules and regulations to ensure a productive and responsible term. After the opening speech the following topics were presented by the facilitators as indicated hereunder:

• Management of Funds and Accountability -ACPA Esther J. Mkenda, Campus Accountant,
• Leadership, Ethics, and Effective Communication- Mr. John M. Lelo, Head of the ICT Department
• Leadership Responsibilities and Institutional Compliance- Emmy Chitalika, Acting Head of Student Affairs (Ag. HOSA)
• The Importance of the Library and How to Effectively Search for Books.- Paschazia Bulugu, Head of Library Services
