During the period under review, the Directorate of Students' Affairs Services at Mwanza Campus coordinated a meeting between the Rector, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, and the CBESO leaders. The meeting was held on 16th June 2025. The meeting brought together 15 CBESO leaders and focused on addressing key academic and administrative concerns. Prof. Lwoga began by congratulating the newly elected leaders and encouraged them to embrace their leadership roles with responsibility. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a proper dress code, reminding the leaders that their appearance should reflect their positions and that they serve as role models for the student body.
CBESO leaders raised several concerns, including integrating NHIF payments into the registration process, renovating sports grounds, establishing a dedicated control number for CBESO funds, providing a college vehicle (Costa) for student activities, and improving campus infrastructure like roads and pavements.
In response, the Rector provided updates on key projects such as the Mwanza Campus fencing and the planned construction of a multipurpose hall. She emphasized the need for academic integrity and proper student conduct during exams, reaffirmed the mandatory use of student ID cards, and explained that the CoSIS system would remain in use for the 2025/2026 year. NHIF contributions will be included in college fees and paid through a general control number, as CBESO cannot have a separate one due to institutional policies.
Additional updates included plans to assess low-roofed classrooms, the future consideration of the Costa vehicle in the 2026/2027 budget, and the installation of cameras and projectors in classrooms. The meeting reflected strong collaboration between management and student leadership, focused on improving student welfare and institutional development.
