Directorate of Students’ Services at Dar es salaam Campus coordinated an official meeting between the Rector and the newly elected leadership of the College of Business Education Students Organization (CBESO). The meeting was held on 20th May 2025 and a total of 24 student leaders were in attendance, comprising members of the Cabinet, the Judicial Organ, the College Students’ Parliament (CSP), and the Electoral Commission.
The Rector, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, along with the Deputy Rectors – ARC and PFA, congratulated the newly elected student leaders and emphasized the importance of ethical leadership, discipline, and familiarity with institutional regulations, including financial management, examination, and disciplinary procedures. She stressed that leadership effectiveness should reflect in reduced examination irregularities and timely fund requisition planning. Additionally, she urged CBESO to finalize the constitutional amendments initiated by the previous leadership.
Deputy Rector Dr. Nassibu Mramba highlighted the need for leaders to understand and educate peers about college examination rules and to operate within the scope of their authority as outlined in the CBESO Constitution and college policies. He also assured support for leadership training if needed.
Deputy Rector – PFA, Prof. Emmanuel Munishi, reminded leaders to uphold the trust placed in them by students, set realistic goals, and develop actionable plans that align with their one-year term.
