Paulo Simango Magoge is a Tanzanian-born scholar and educator at the College of Business Education with a profound dedication to advancing the fields of computer science and technology. His journey in academia and professional roles showcases a commitment to learning, research, and contributing to societal development. His academic journey commenced at Azania and Ilboru Secondary Schools in Tanzania, where he cultivated a profound interest in science and technology, laying the groundwork for his illustrious career.
Paulo earned his Bachelor's degree in Information Communication Technology with Business (BSc. ICT with Business) at Mzumbe University's main campus in Morogoro, Tanzania with a capstone project titled "GPS Based System for Tracking Employee Attendance.", where he demonstrated his early commitment to practical applications of technology in organizational settings. Also, Paulo went on to complete a Master's degree in Computer Science (MSc. Computer Science) at the University of Mysore (UoM) in Karnataka state, India. His thesis, "A Fuzzy Logic Approach for Assessing Student Answer-scripts" underscored his innovative approach to educational assessment methodologies.
Currently, Magoge is pursuing a Doctoral degree in Science, Technology, and Computing with a focus on Computer Science at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF), his research interests have now expanded to include educational technology. His PhD study specifically explores the AI-based algorithms behind social media and their impacts on the K-12 students, emphasizing more on learning and teaching of the mechanisms behind these platforms and their daily implications to the children's lives. This research underscores his commitment to understanding and enhancing educational practices in the digital age.
Nevertheless, Paulo's dedication to continuous learning is exemplified by his Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning which he has recently acquired from the Universidad Catolica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) in Spain. This additional qualification reflects his proactive approach to staying at the forefront of emerging technologies and methodologies within his field.
Apart from Educational technology, AI, and Machine Learning; Mr. Magoge's research affinity spans Digital forensics, Cryptography, Steganography, Blockchain, and Fuzzy logic systems.
