TRAINING FOR FEMALE STUDENTS ON COLLEGE LIFE

During the period under review, the Directorate of Students Services in collaboration with the College of Business Education Gender Desk organized a training session for female students focused on cross-cutting issues. The goal was to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate various aspects of College life. A total of 217 students participated in the training. The training was facilitated by two members of the College Gender Desk, Mr. Amaniel Athuman and Madam Roselyne Massam.

Mr. Amaniel presented a range of topics, including self-awareness, effective time management, and the importance of setting clear goals. He also discussed the procedures for reporting incidents of gender-based harassment and emphasized the value of investing in oneself through education and entrepreneurship. Additionally, he encouraged students to cultivate healthy relationships and avoid unproductive sexual entanglements.

Complementing Mr. Amaniel's presentations, Madam Roselyne Massam shared valuable insights into the realities of youth and college life. Emphasizing the importance of planning, positivity, and creating productive schedules, she urged students to actively engage in their learning journey. Madam Roselyne stressed the significance of building skills, nurturing talents, and fostering a robust social and academic network. She encouraged the students to prioritize personal development and adopt a positive work ethic.

The event was hailed as a resounding success, leaving participants motivated and better equipped to tackle the challenges of college life.
