CBESO Leadership Seminar 2024



The Directorate of Student Services organized a leadership seminar on 14th March 2024. The seminar was tailored for student organization leaders at the College of Business Education (CBE). This seminar brought together representatives from various key organs of the Students’ Organization, including the Cabinet, Judicial Organ, College Students' Parliament, and the Electoral Commission.
The seminar, inaugurated by the Rector Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, aimed to equip these young leaders with the necessary skills and insights for success not only within their current roles but also in their future endeavours.

Prof. Lwoga, in her opening address, commended the student leaders for their invaluable contributions to maintaining peace and order on campus. She underlined the universality of leadership, asserting, "A human being cannot evade being a leader because leadership is everywhere." Emphasizing the significance of leadership skills in diverse contexts, she encouraged the student leaders to become exemplary ambassadors for CBE.

Furthermore, Prof. Lwoga stressed the importance of integrating integrity and ethics into future leadership seminars, emphasizing the ethical dimension of leadership in today's world.

The seminar proceeded with a series of engaging presentations delivered by esteemed professionals:
Professor Emmanuel Mjema, the former Rector, shared insightful perspectives on "Surviving in a Competitive Business Environment as a Leader."

Professor Emmanuel Munishi, Deputy Rector responsible for Planning, Finance, and Administration, delved into the "Art of Effective Decision Making: A Key Leadership Skill."

Mr. Fortunatus G. Ekklesiah of EPVATE International Consulting illuminated the importance of "Teamwork in Organizations."
CPA E. Mwangobola, Director of Finance at CBE, provided invaluable training on the "Interpretation of Financial Statements."
This seminar provided student leaders with a strong foundation for navigating the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, both within their current leadership roles and in their future careers.
