The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Hon. Exaud Kigahe, commended the College of Business Education (CBE) for its innovation, especially in enhancing its curriculum and implementing apprenticeship and business incubation programs.
Hon. Kigahe served as the Guest of Honor at CBE's 59th Graduation Ceremony for the Main Campus in Dar es Salaam, held at the Mwalimu Nyerere International Conference Centre (JNICC) on November 8, 2024.
He stated that the government values CBE's contribution in producing skilled professionals and supports efforts to improve curricula to produce experts, as the nation needs professionals with practical experience and the ability to be self-employed and create jobs for others.
"I am very pleased with CBE's efforts through its apprenticeship and business incubation programs, as they align with the government’s plan to reduce youth unemployment challenges. This is a program that our nation needs right now, to prepare our young people to enter the job market with practical experience and the skills for self-reliance," said Hon. Kigahe.
Hon. Kigahe called on local companies and institutions to collaborate with CBE to enable students to gain practical experience. He added that the industrial and trade sectors are the backbone of any nation's economy.
