The College of Business Education (CBE) expects to graduate approximately 5,306 students from its four campuses—Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza, and Mbeya—for the 2023/2024 academic year. Out of these, 2,665 students from the Dar es Salaam main campus graduated on November 8, 2024.
Speaking at the college's 59th graduation ceremony held at the JNICC auditorium, the Rector of CBE, Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, stated, "The students graduating today are from various programs, including Certificates, Diplomas, Bachelor’s Degrees, and Master’s Degrees. Additionally, 46% of these graduates are female."
Prof. Lwoga also highlighted CBE's contributions to the community, noting that the college provides short-term training in quality business education and entrepreneurship for small-scale entrepreneurs, focusing particularly on women, youth, and people with disabilities. This training is offered free of charge as part of the college’s community outreach.
In the 2023/2024 academic year, a total of 1,500 entrepreneurs have received training. In the current financial year, which began in July, an additional 1,200 people have already completed the program. This brings the total number of beneficiaries to 2,700, who have been trained in areas such as business planning, market research, online advertising, customer service, and business record-keeping.
