Mr. Richard P. Benaya is an Assistant Lecturer at the College of Business Education (CBE) in Tanzania. He has published research in the areas of procurement and supply chain management and investment opportunities. He has a vast experience in implementing Quality and Productivity Improvement (QPI) for products and service and has consulted some industries in Dodoma, Singida, Mbeya and in Miyagi prefecture, Japan.

Mr. Richard P. Benaya is among the seven coordinators of KAIZEN Project in Tanzania. He is also the Chairman of the African Kaizen Initiative Action Plan 2021-2025 with 9 member countries. Besides, he has significantly managed to present various topics related to investment survey in international virtual forums. He is currently consulting some institutions both publicly and privately companies for improving quality and productivity using KAIZEN methodology. He is also preparing a research article on the QPI related matters.

History of CBE

The COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION (CBE) was established in 1965 by the Act of the Parliament. COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION Act No. 31 of 1965. His Excellency, J.K. Nyerere, the first President of the United Republic of Tanzania officially opened the new College in January 1965. The College was officially named the “College of Business Education” (CBE). The said Act of Parliament gives the College its legal status as an autonomous institution with its Governing Body. The College shall be governed and administered in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
