Personal statement | Haji is an assistant lecturer (Economics) at the College of Business education (CBE), Mbeya Campus. He is an Agricultural economist by profession researching on Land economics and governance, Climate change and sustainability, Agricultural and rural development, Agri-food systems, smallholder farming systems and livelihoods. He has worked in a number of dynamic projects on land economics and governance systems that support secure and equitable land access, livelihoods and responsible governance of tenure with the goal of eradicating poverty, food insecurity and encouraging responsible investment at local, regional and global levels. He is currently a PhD candidate in Agricultural Economics at Sokoine University, Tanzania, researching on innovative approaches to addressing the conceptual and methodological flaws on land tenure formalization impact assessments in the context of Tanzania. |
