 Personal statement Mr. Clement B Matogwa is a tutorial assistant of mathematics subject at CBE Mwanza Campus. Moreover he is a member of campus marketing team. He specialized with Bachelor of Science with Education (Informatics and Mathematics) at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) from 2013 to 2016. He has been teaching Mathematics at various secondary schools before joining CBE including Lilian kibo High School, Coastal High School and Kwalakamu secondary school.
He has published a single paper titled “Role of Continuous assessment towards the performance of Students in their National examinations in Tanzania. A case of Mpwapwa district” at the African journal of Applied Research (ajar) in October 2021.
Currently Mr. Matogwa is doing a research on the topic “Escalation of mobile money transfer charges in relation to the volume of transactions through mobile phones in Tanzania. A case of Mwanza City council”..

History of CBE

The COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION (CBE) was established in 1965 by the Act of the Parliament. COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION Act No. 31 of 1965. His Excellency, J.K. Nyerere, the first President of the United Republic of Tanzania officially opened the new College in January 1965. The College was officially named the “College of Business Education” (CBE). The said Act of Parliament gives the College its legal status as an autonomous institution with its Governing Body. The College shall be governed and administered in accordance with the provisions of this Act.


The origin of the College of Business Education (CBE) is closely linked to the history of the Nation itself.
