METROLOGY TO CROSS MORE BORDERS

The Rector of the College of Business Education (CBE), Prof. Edda Tandi Lwoga, on 19/12/2023, held a meeting and discussions with Mr. Rabson Wanjala Kisuya, representing the Kenyan Ambassador to Tanzania at the Kenyan Embassy in Dar es Salaam. The aim of the meeting was to discus and establish cooperation in the provision and delivery of training in Metrology and Standardization studies for employees, students, and various institutions in Kenya.

Prof. Tandi highlighted the existence of these training programs since 1968, whereby CBE has been the sole institution offering these courses in the East African region. Also emphasized was the presence of students from neighboring countries who have benefited from these courses, including students from Mozambique, Congo, and the Comoros Islands.

Furthermore, the college principal underscored the significant role of the embassy in encouraging Kenyan citizens interested in pursuing education in Metrology and Standardization to enroll at CBE. This enrollment, she noted, would greatly benefit individuals seeking such education.

Mr. Rabson expressed gratitude to the CBE leadership for promoting these educational opportunities available at the college and stated that they would explore ways to ensure that the Metrology and Standardization course reaches Kenyan citizens, as this presents a valuable opportunity.
